- OVERVIEW -

The design challenge for the “POWERSAIL 15m” was to provide a more economical alternative for prospective buyers who were excited by the unique concept of the Powersail 20m but found the price beyond their budget.

By innovative design we have been able to retain in the "POWERSAIL 15m" the majority of the desirable features of the Powersail 20m, including the18 knot motoring speed, while achieving a 45% price reduction.

The "POWERSAIL 15m"  fulfils the requirements of a luxury world cruiser, with its exceptionally large volume, fully air conditioned interior, incorporating a raised saloon seating eight, and internal helm station. Two full beam staterooms offer king and queen size walk round berths and en suites with separate showers. A third cabin, with a queen size bed settee doubles as a TV, reading lounge or office.

The galley features a large granite benchtop, twin refrigerators, front opening freezer, range hood, dishwasher, and wastemaster. A separate laundry accomodates a washtub, full size washing machine, tumble dryer and a 150l/hr watermaker.

Twin helm stations provide excellent visibility and the spacious cockpit features large table seating six for  outdoor entertaining  while the hard spray dodger ensures good shelter from the elements when sailing. On board systems enable the boat's large powerful rig to be easily sailed single handed, even to the extend of being able to deploy and retrieve the gennaker without leaving the safety of the cockpit.

The "POWERSAIL 15m" only requires a 480hp engine, using the same patented systems as the Powersail 20m, to achieve its outstanding motoring performance.

The "POWERSAIL 15m" features a large retractable propellor and bow thruster, twin rudders, a minimum 1.5m draft  lifting keel, automated water ballast system, telescopic bow sprit and a full headroom stern garage. The bilges are filled with closed cell foam to provide a fundamentally unsinkable vessel.
